Liang Family Christmas Holiday !
Look...its Pepper Claus... isnt he soooo sweet... Look at him looking at his jingle!
He came out to greet his guests once and he was quite relaxed and everyone ooohed and awweed...
Otherwise he stayed inside my bedroom because it was such a party and too much commotion for Pepper. Look at the food I made too! I made the gravlax and fruit tarts myself.
Happy 2010 everyone from Pepper Claus and Jing!

Chairman Pepper's 9-point plan
Pepper's 9-point plan for a prosperous century. Pepper realizes these ideas are not all that original. But only a personality like Pepper has the fortitude, follow-through strategy and negotiating powers to complete this plan :
1) High-speed magnet monorail linking all major cities in North America. It shall be nicknamed the "C.A.T".
2) 70% rebates on all purchases of electric and fuel cell cars, to help end oil dependancy.
3) Residential solar electricity and windfarms hooked up to a super "alternative energy" grid.
4) Redistribution of income. New cap structures for CEO's and executives. Minimum wage raised to $15.00.
5) Free Wi-max in every major North American city.
6) Creation of natural healing centers for treatment of early-stage cancer and cancer-relapse kitties and humans . Patients are fed organic greens and high levels of known cancer-fighting supplements such as reishi and vitamin c and monitored. Gentle exercise. Stress management in a spa-like setting. Dogs are not admitted, it will freak out the cats. Dogs will be left to their own devices as usual.
7)Investments in nanotechnology but only to create materials that are bioidentical to materials already on Earth. No genetic fiddling with plants and such.
8) Cat Suffragette. Cats earn right to vote and employment... (haha if they want to).
9) Cats will be encouraged to teach their method of "purring" with humans, which boosts the immune system, fight disease, and promotes long life.

Pepper looks like Chairman Meow
Yesterday I had a bit of a surprising realization. Pepper looks a bit like Chairman Meow, the inspirational feline dictator, famed for his "Little Book of Meowisms". Could Pepper be the illustrious Chairman Meow, the last fountain of political wisdom this century has to offer behind a foggy feline veil who is nevertheless diametrically opposed to Obama ?
Hehe if you say Pepper looks like Chairman Meow, it would sure boost his ego, as if his ego wasn't big enough!
Notice a pic of Pepper in his jacket and a woodcut print of Chairman Meow.

Update on Pepper
Hi everyone,
Id like to tell you what happened yesterday. My parent's were tarring the driveway, and Pepper was outside playing in the sunshine..... He went over and dipped his little paws in the tarpaint!
We yelled at him not to lick his paws.
My dad and I had to perform an emergency cleanup on him. We took some detergent and water and started scrubbing. Then we finished with alcohol solution. There were some small stubborn bits and my Dad just took tiny scissors to cut away the clumps of black fur.
Pepper hissed and howled the whole time and I had to restrain him. It was quite an ordeal. He had to be comforted a lot after, he ate extra kibbles and I cooed him to sleep.
He is doing really well today and forgot about the whole thing.
Balloons and e-cards accepted for Pepper.

Tips on How to Get Your Cat in Clothing
I would recommend that you try let your cat wear clothes 1 hour each day and give him a nibbly treats afterwards until he is very comfortable with clothes. Be very quick in putting clothing on him. Put the clothing over his head really quick and be gentle and quick when putting his forepaws through the armholes. A little complaint meowing is ok, but I would stop if he hisses and starts to scratch.
Some cats like to wear clothes because they instinctively know they look cute in them (like Pepper). Others wear them to please their owners and like the attention they lavish on them. Still others like the warm comfortable feeling of clothes.
Pepper took to wearing a sweater no problem sitting still but started walking funny when he first started wearing his sweater. But after about a week of wearing it he is walking naturally. Oh yes on a frosty January, -20 Celcius day, I made Pepper wear his sweater outside, and when he came back he even gave me kisses as to say, "Thank you for making me that sweater and help me keep warm!"
